The Hunger Games Movie Is Almost Here

The Hunger Games Fan Club is about to get a lot more traffic. The movie is only a week away and said to be the most anticipated of the year! Everyone seems to think that Jennifer Lawrence was the right girl to play Katniss. In just 7 days time we are going to find out once and for all if the movie lives up to the book. We all know that usually when a movie is based on a book, the outcome is a poor rendition of a great story. Hopefully this is one of those rare cases when a movie does a good job of depicting a great book. If you are true Hunger Games fans I am sure you can barely stand the anticipation and will be there on Thursday at midnight to see the show.

With the movie just around the corner we are going to be working round the clock to find exclusives with the cast, director and any other VIP information that arises. We plan on having this hunger games fan club in the number one spot but we need your help! Make sure to leave your comments and interact with fellow Hunger Games fanatics. Make sure you check back because soon we are going to introduce giveaways, contests and trivia games! Don't forget to join our mailing list for the newest updates.

Do You Like The Casting?

With the movie set to come out so soon (March 23rd), what do you think about the actors and actress's chosen to play the characters in The Hunger Games? I personally am a HUGE Jennifer Lawrence fan. When I read the books, I somewhat pictured a Jennifer Lawrence type playing her role. Yet from reading on the Internet and other blogs, some seem to feel that she is "too pretty" for the role.

Also, I think they hit the nail on the head by casting Willow Shields to play the role of Primrose Everdeen, the younger sister of Katniss. I'm very excited to see how that plays out, but I don't think they missed on that one.

One last thing that certainly caught me by surprise was Elizabeth Banks playing as Effie Trinket. When reading the first book, I generated my idea of Effie as slightly older looking than someone as the age of Elizabeth Banks. I completely understand that she is done up to look older, but it is kind of hard to look past that point.

Anyway, what are your thoughts about the casting? Did they hit it on the mark, or did they miss in your opinion? In addition, who are you most looking forward to seeing? Share away...

Who's Your Favorite Character?

Welcome welcome members of District 12! I know you are all as excited as I am about the 74th Annual Hunger Games. As you know, one boy and one girl from age 12 to 18 is chosen every year in a display of the Capitol's strong grip on the 12 Districts of Panem.

With that being said, we want to know who are your favorite characters of The Hunger Games? Is it Katniss Everdeen? What about the boy from the bakery, who joins Katniss as tribute from District 12, Peeta Mellak? From Rue to Prim, Cinna to Effie, tell us who your favorite characters are!!
